Dudince Mineral Spa Resort

Indications and contraindications for treatment in Dudince Spa

In the mineral baths of Dudince, treatment takes place in two ways: a visit to a swimming pool or a bath followed by a poultice. In both cases, the treatment lasts 20 minutes, followed by a dry wrap and 10 minutes of rest.

The maximum therapeutic effect of the mineral water is achieved when the patient lies still in the tub, without excessive movement or vibration of the water. The tiny bubbles that form on the skin should be carefully removed so that beneficial substances can better penetrate into the body.

Dudinka mineral water treatment is based on the chemical action on the skin of oxygen and hydrogen sulphide, which, entering the body through the skin, intensify their joint interaction.

During bathing, carbon dioxide improves blood circulation, has a positive effect on metabolism, immunological reactions in cells, tissue functioning, their oxygen supply, improves trophic of the heart muscle, reduces peripheral vascular resistance, which positively affects the cardiovascular system, reduces arterial pressure.

The hydrogen sulphide contained in the mineral water has a therapeutic effect on the bones and acts on the sympathetic nerve endings in the periphery, which reduces joint and muscle pain, improves the function of the musculoskeletal system and has a beneficial effect on the skin.

Another therapeutic factor is the effect of heat. In individual baths, the water is heated to 33-37°C (as recommended by your doctor). For group visits, the pool is heated to 34 °C. In this way, the water affects the activity of all organs of the human body.
